We're glad you're here!

Behind Gather & Pray is a real life Catholic family, working hard to pray together and to help other families do the same!

how it all started...

Hi! I’m Olivia.

I’m a wife and mother of four who’s in love with Christ and our Catholic Faith.

Amid the craziness of 2020, our family craved fellowship. We began getting together with my eldest son’s godparents to pray the rosary for our fallen world. We had good intentions but the execution was lacking. Every parent knows first hand how challenging it can be to engage your young children in prayer - let alone whole group prayer. We desired to build the daily habit of praying a family rosary. With a rambunctious little ones, even starting with just a decade was intimidating.

I resolved to simply pray the rosary alone. It was much easier, quicker, and less frustrating. We prayed with the kids at other times in the day and I told myself that was good enough. Yet, the desire to pray the rosary as a family remained. I knew I needed to engage my young children in praying the rosary in developmentally appropriate ways.

God placed the idea of "Gather and Pray" on my heart. Tools to aid in prayer for those who are young - in heart, or in actuality.

"For where there are two or three gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."- St Matthew 18:20

Product ideas quickly came flooding to mind. Products that I did not yet have the talent to make. God surely does not call the equipped, He equips the called! I slowly learned how to create in between nap times. And now here we are!

Praying as a family is powerful and transformative. And it's my prayer that these tools make it a bit easier.

"The family that prays together stays together, and if they stay together they will love one another as God has loved each one of them. And works of love are always works of peace."- St. Mother Teresa

- St. Teresa of Calcutta

Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary
— We entrust everything to the Blessed Mother. She guides us to a deeper relationship with her Son, Jesus. "The Rosary is the most beautiful and the most rich in graces of all prayers; it is the prayer that touches most the Heart of the Mother of God...and if you wish peace to reign in your homes, recite the family Rosary."—Pope Saint Pius X

St. Little Li
— Little Li was a child martyr in China. Communists had raided her parish, locked up the priest, and threw the Eucharistic hosts all over the floor. Each day, Little Li returned, kneeling to pray for an hour to prepare her heart before receiving Him; then lowered her face to the floor to reverently use her tongue to receive the Body of Jesus Christ. On the day she came to receive the last remaining host, she was shot and dragged herself across the floor to consume the last Eucharist.

St. Veronica
— Moved with compassion, Veronica wiped the face of Jesus as He walked with the cross to Calvary. It was St. Veronica who introduced me to the Holy Face Devotion.
