The Saints and the Call to Friendship with Christ borrows St. Teresa of Avila's definition of Sainthood. A Saint is simply a friend of Christ.

Each friendship with christ is totally unique, but Christ will make us saints through this friendship. This book features the stories of 101 different Saints, Blesseds, and Venerables from around the world and throughout the history of the Church. Each story focuses on one particular story of a feeling that this saint experienced. Through the story, it is clear that Christ used this feeling to call this person into friendship and make them a saint.
